I could look at them for you and let you know if it's an electrical issue.

Moon lights prly cannot be fixed if salt got into them. Are the compact bulbs or normal strips? I work on the compact ones all the time chances are that its the wire that goes into the lights if it is cfl. Might have some parts in the store

The moon lights I don't care about, but the lights are what I want working along with the fans

Tony

I will bring them Saturday and if you would look at them that would be Awesome, as that is one thing I have no clue what I am doing is Electrical stuff.

As for the bulbs they are the ones with 4 pins on the end and about 18" long

Yeah they are cfls chances are its the wire there should be 4 scres on each end that hold it together than you can slide the relector out and get to the ballest the wire just plugs into the ballest. Its a common problem with these along with the moon lights going out. The other one is that they tend to shock you when your working in the tank.

Ok I will take it apart and take a look, so if it is a bad wire am i looking for a bad connection of a corroded wire?

Could just be a bad wire or bad connection yes. You can even try switching the good side to the one that doest work to trouble shoot it.

what was the wattage of the bulbs thats going to be the big thing with finding new ones. You might even want to wait for the mods for the led bulbs to come out seeing as the cfl bulbs can be so expensive.
