Title: Golden Fins

The Golden Fins program was introduced to the club at our January general meeting.  Basically it is a small incentive program to encourage participation in the club.  A Golden Fins is a business card that is awarded for performing various acts within the club and then can be redeemed at MCA auctions for various items.

A Golden Fin can be earned by doing one of the following:

1 ) Give a lecture / presentation
2 ) Lead a workshop
3 ) Donate fish or hard goods for raffle or auction (fishy bingo / BAP donations don't count towards Golden Fins)
4 ) Lead a club event
5 ) Open up your fishroom to the fishroom tour
6 ) Lead a group order for the club
7 ) Photo contest winner
8 ) As awarded per BOD majority

Please contact a BOD member to express interest in giving a lecture, leading a workshop, leading a club event, leading a group order, etc...

Golden Fins can be redeemed at our auctions for:

1) Used in lieu of paying for a priority item
2) Waive the reserve priced auction item fee
3) Exchange 1 golden fin for 2 raffle tickets
4) Exemption to include any fish related item into the auction

Also.... Golden Fins are NOT transferable if you are awarded one, then you have to be the one to use it.

Interesting. Wish i didn't have to work afternoons and could actually make it to a meeting. /sigh.
