What does the term OB mean?
Thanks Bob

"Orange Blotch"
OB is reference to a sex-linked gene that causes some species to have a blotched color pattern instead of whatever their standard color is. It's much more common in females than males and depending on species, males with the OB gene are sometimes referred to as "marmalade cats". Some more reading on one such species: http://www.malawicichlids.com/mw09000d.htm
Some species in which you'll find the OB gene:
- various M. zebra complexes
- L. trewavasae
- L. fuelleborni
- various peacock/mbuna hybrids
