Im gonna be getting this guy today... They say he is a Striped Picus Catfish... Is this correct? He has outgrown there tank. Lucky for me I have some large tanks he can go in ;D ;D
-
I suppose it could be a good sized adult...but I'm no expert. The ones I've always seen are young and silver with very clear spots...
-
There saying its about 8in or so. Hey the price is right I suppose. Just gotta drive across town ;)
-
Well, if that's what they're saying then I'd go with it unless you find something to the contrary. Good luck.

That's a cool looking cat I really like the markings on him 8)

Cool fish - FWIW pictus are a social catfish and most active/happy kept in groups.
-
Do they normally get this large. He is easily 8in. Im doing some googling for info and reasearch. Not sure I will be having a group of them, he is basically a rescue. Kept eating babies and small fish in there tank thats why they had to re-home him. Now to figure whats best for him to eat.

There are different types of pictus and yes, some get that large or larger.
I'm not 100% certain this is him, but it may be of some help:
