Looks like Amazon Stingrays is back up for sale

IMHO this belongs in the craigslist thread in this forum, or in a thread under General Discussion.

Well, I don't know that it qualifies as a steal or deal, which is why I didn't list it there, and technically it is for sale, which is why I listed it here instead of General Discussion.

Wish I had money in my pocket burning a hole in it.

I agree, steal or deal? That's in the eye of the buyer I guess. My point however, is that it's a craigslist ad...simple as that.
I just would hate to see this forum turn into a spot for anyone to post whatever they see listed for sale anywhere on the internet due to a precedent being made. Even though it's technically for sale, I think it should be in one of the forums I mentioned.
I've also always felt that any listing in the For Sale forum should be strictly your own item. The exception being the pinned craigslist thread.

That's a good point, I'll move it.

Well, if you're just looking for equipment, I'd understand. If you're looking to get into a store, he's probably not selling because he's making too much money and doesn't know what to do with it all.

I've been in there before (it's only about 1.5 miles from my house). Only has saltwater stuff, and although the rays in the back tank are neat, the store really doesn't have very much of a variety of products IMO. He's a nice guy I've hung around and yaked with him a bit a few months ago, but I think the lack of variety of items (plus high prices) have made it hard for him to make a real good go of the store. Being strictly saltwater he's somewhat limited is customer base for this area.

I wonder if taking over the contract for the location is a mandatory part of the sale. The rent makes it easy to see why he might need to charge more than other retailers.

you are right Ron cant stay at the Ritz with pocket change. High rent kills specialty businesses quickly.

$1500.00 a month isn't too bad, especially for that size building (it's 2100 square feet). It would just depend on how bad the taxes were.
