Looks good, has some nice red
About 3-4" ?
-
hes about 6"with quite the attitude, hes already got a hold of my finger multiple times.
-
6"? You sure it's male? I'd think it'd have a kok showing if it was male.
Either way its red is real nice. I haven't seen too many of these around since the Thai Reds faded out.

I get these from an asian breeder that has had this line for many many years, im not sure he has focused on the kok as much as he should have. I have seen his younger pairs growing out with a substantial kok so i look forward to see their offspring. this is one reason i would like to find a high quality pair of flowerhorn, i have a hard time finding exceptional quality from most local breeders.

Is it showing anything kok wise? At 6" it'll probably only develop a hard kok. If it's not showing ANY kind of water kok , then there's probably no hope for one.
Feed it a high fat, low fiber food.
What size tank is it in? Do you have room to toss a ParrotFish, or 2, in with him? Give him something to push around& assert dominance on. It'll help ;)
I agree about the Quality of FH with the local breeders. You basically HAVE to spend your money overseas
