Since getting this house I've realized how much room I have in my basement. One this I was wondering about was breeding more than one species in the same tank I know you cannot mix pecocks because it will just be too much a like but let's say I get some redcap lethernops and put them in with peacocks is there a greater chance they will cross ? I know given a.chance.any fish will cross with another just ruling out my odds here.

I would feel comfortable with that mix, given a few conditions. I would try to get as many females of each species as possible, as well as picking a peacock that has a darker female in comparison to a lighter one.
-
I was thinking blue orchids with redcaps. I know the orchids are darker if you can get a good strain
-
That would be a good look, or red shoulders would be sharp too.

I use to breed some awhile back wild caught ones at that. Went away for a bit and a family member wiped out all my tanks I had of breeding fish it was a bummer I still have one of the f1 fish in my main tank.

Those would have been sharp! It's always the worst when you loose good fish.

This was the male
Yeah it sucks. but my girlfriend says for me to go for it if I want to start breeding fish again. I told her if I can get a big tank again for cheap we can breed some fronts.

Nice male!
Welcome back to Africans!

I never really got out of them other than breeding. Had an accident moved to a smaller place now have a bigger place with more room and work at a fish store so I figured it wouldn't hurt to do some fish again and I have enough connections to get some different.
