The original group is 7 i believe. Two males and the other's females. First batch i had was i believe 11, maybe 12. And there all doing great. About an inch long now. Im considering setting a 55 up with just them in it. I think that would look pretty good. I will have to get some pics with the digital camera i guess...

I sold all mine about a year ago.  I loved them and it was hard to part with them.  They looked awesome and were very active.   They ate like pigs.  Just wanted to try other things so they had to go.  I even gt some albinos out of my group.   I am sure yours will be a riot, good luck!

My brother has a male yellow tail acei at 6in  Its SO huge and 2 females that are about 5.  The one just spit close to 75 fully developed fry but they are extremely small fry.

			-
I averaged close to 50 Yellow Tail Acei per holding female when i was breedig them. They sure do reproduce.

I just checked out the Yellow Tail Acei, and i think i would like to get ahold of some of them in the future.. Really good lookin fish..

I'm simply agreeing that they are good looking fish ... so good looking that they are better looking than the white tailed variety.  :P

Me too lol!   I never had yellow tails only the the white tailed. The yellow tailed acei is rather common and can be easily found in most cases.  There is another strain that. Is black with an Orange tail.  I am not sure if its naturally occurring but I am pretty sure it is and they should be pretty sweet.

I would also agree the Yellow Tail > White Tail. The males get that nice iridescent sheen on their dorsal fin...looks gorgeous!!!

October 22nd.  I bet you could line up a deal before the auction.  I don't remember seeing them in the auction but I am sure they were there.   Besides call around to some local shops maybe they can hold you a few until you get down here, this is of corase if you are coming to the auction.   If you have never been to one they are a ton of fun.  I know you are quite a drive though so bring some xtra bags and water in case you have any issues.  Oh and a cooler, a big one or some small ones as you may found many must haves!

I tried to talk him into coming but he can't make it.  Oh well, there's always the winter one...

For planning purposes, the winter auction will be Jan. 21st

Is the winter auction the same place as the fall one? If so i guess i will have to try to plan for it. Hopefully things will work out better for me then, have to wait and see.
