Sooo i was into this store today, and was not really satisfied. According to there website, i thought i was gonna be really pleased, especially by there selection on the site. Anyway just an FYI. I thought someone might like to know. It is a very clean store, and well organized, but the selection in my opinion wasn't quite there.

I agree that if you're a cichlid-a-holic like us then you will probably not be extremely satisfied in their store. However, it is a nice shop, especially for as small as it is.
They don't focus on cichlids, so all you're going to see is the usual mixed cichlid tanks. Of course, you never know what will be in those tanks. I got my Hap. Moori from them for $3 and I've seen Fronts in there too (not $3 though).
There's a decent amount of saltwater livestock and liverock (and whatever else goes with saltwater systems). They're working on expanding that since that seems to be a big part of their business.
They have the basic tropical tanks.
They also sell discus, which a fair amount of people are into.
They have a few reptiles (lizards, turtles, snakes, etc.) and equipment.
I think for the most part it's a nice little shop to have locally. You're not going to find an extreme cichlid selection, but they have a variety of things to interest & satisfy the local community. Plus the owners are nice people and take time to talk and answer questions. They can special order most things you're looking for (as do many shops). They also take trades and give store credit.
Overall, not a great cichlid shop but a nice LFS. We need more of those up here, not many to choose from.

Absolutely, it is a great shop. Very clean, and organized. You said it tho, the selection is for the general community. Not the cichlid lover...

Got a ## and the address , I get up that way everynow and then.
If i could talk to them, I'll see if they want some fish.

I'm not sure how I've missed this shop considering it's proximity to the Sugar Bowl, Arlenes, and Alpine Oven. Doesn't look huge, but looks like a well kept place from their website. I'll definitely have to stop in next time I'm passing through. :)

This shop is about 30 mins from My home, I shop there a lot.. they have the best selection around for northern Michigan. If he doesn't have it, he can get it within a couple days. Most of his fish come from APET just like every other fish shop in Michigan. He is also gives very fair prices for trades on fish.

When I managed a store I never ordered from apet. Maybe suggest to them that Seagrest and seadwelling creatures both wholesale freshwater fish.

Any of you Up North guys check out Club Green Aquatics in Mt. Pleasant? I have heard good things about them, but have not made it up there yet. Their FB page says open Mon-Sun 9 am - 5:15 pm.

I always felt his prices were a wee bit high and doesn't have much for cichlids

Might want to check him out again then. His FB page has shown some interesting cichlids lately. Dunno about his prices though...
