I dont like how they pay so little $250.00 And then say they'll get $1900.00

I also think that sometimes their claim as to what they get is a little high. There's also some economics between how long they'd have to hold the item while waiting for a premium sale price opportunity.

That said, it's still interesting enough to watch and congrats to Ski's parents for being on the show.

I have to admit, I lurk auctions looking for deals myself, but I typically buy to keep and not for resale. I blame the MCA auctions for starting this addiction!  :o

They are a business.  No one makes any money with the stuff in the condidtions and locations they find it.  They also do all the work in restoring and marketing.  That said their profit isn't all profit.  They have a lot of overhead.  I am sure they make more money being followed around with cameras while they work than they get to work.  I think it's cool what they do and how they go about doing it.

Everyone has a price on what they'll take for an item and a lot of times they don't make the buy.  If I sell something to someone I could careless what they sell it for as it is theirs when they sell it not mine.  Within some reason I guess.  If I sold a painting for $100 and later find the buyer sold it for $10,000,000 I would then feel taken advantage of.  But $250 sold for $1900..... good for them to have the contacts.  I guess I could do all the work and get $1900 but in most cases let em' have it.

I wish I could watch the show, but I don't have cable.  It is interesting to watch them go through a person's house or barn looking for stuff.  I have watched some episodes, back when I had cable and I remember them being taken on something because the seller had a good story about it.

Seen the show, And their car was worth more then they got it for $6000.00  I sold mine for $9900.00. And it didn't look as good.

** Agreed--I thought the price was tooo low. It was a nice old car and to me was still in quite decent shape and that Rumble Seat-  8) -oh yeah.!! The car had more value than the $6,000 that was paid. It was their choice. I myself--would have Kept The Car!!  8) **

With todays economy the car was not worth much more than they got for it. Also the market for certain cars is different regional. They can prob resell for more but u need to think about the time involved.
