Title: Looking to stock new 55

Looking to stock a newly set up 55 gal in Macomb county. I'm thinking mbuna and am looking at keeping the initial stocking inexpensive with some cool colors.

You're not going to have very much long term success with most mbuna in a 55.   You'll be stuck with the smaller genera like Labidochromis and Iodotropheus.     If it's just colors and activity that you want,  I'd suggest an all male Aulonacara stocking,  using the stuartgranti type peacocks.
