Title: Marineland vs Aqueon tanks?
Post by: Saulosi77 on November 17, 2019, 08:44:49 AM
I’m looking to purchase a new 75 or 90 gallon tank and was wondering what everyone’s thoughts were on the different brands available.  I have seen numerous reviews on the major manufacturers and see a lot have issues with poor silicone jobs and leaks.  The tank will be set up on my new hard wood floors so i’m trying to avoid any catastrophes.  What tank is the best?  Or do I just spend the money and go acrylic?

If you have it,  then go acrylic. ( I've been slowly switching everything over to acrylic myself,  although my main reason is their weight.)

As far as glass manufacturers - Deep Blue and Marineland are the ones I've seen to be cautious about.

+1 with RB on going acrylic if you can. The other benefit other than weight & strength is that the inevitable scratches that occur can be buffers out keeping your display quality viewing for evermore with 1 purchase.
