RTM spawn show & tell
« on: October 24, 2019, 08:49:45 PM »
Young lady at 4" or so.
Very focused on the eggs.
Currently dominating a 12x12 space.
Male is digging out a pit in the cave next door.
The rest of the tankmates are respecting the spawning site. A few banged up fish, but no major wounds.
I would like to see a few specimens find a new home soon. I can be reached at 2487309251. Jags, tigers, and salvini are available free of charge.
One tank remains.
MTS is in fact a disease.

Things have gotten far better to watch lately in my New World 130g tank.
The motaguensis pair now have many free swimming fry in a pit dug out by the male.
The aggression of the female has reduced greatly as she almost never leaves the pit.
The male however has cranked it up nicely, anything within 6" of the pit will be hit very hard by the male.
Free meal is so tempting to many of the other tank mates. I can see which ones are willing to get hit for a taste of tiger fry.
6 Motas
5 Jags
6 Salvini
And 1 rough looking well fed catfish.
This catfish has a death wish.
