Australoheros Oblongum
« on: September 18, 2011, 03:16:39 PM »
This posting is as "deep" as the Discus thread.  :o  8)  I'm not keeping these guys because I believed, as I was told and had read, that they are extremely docile and laid back....good for a community tank.  They ate two of my rummynose tetra (my fault...they were too small) and then beat up a few of my Roberti tetras killing one.  A cichlid is a cichlid is a cichlid.

This might be a good time to put them for free in the "For Sale" area of the forum.

They are relatively laid back but the one male is very alpha-like in his overall demeanor. They are new to the tank and perhaps he is just staking out his territory...which seems to be the entire 55 gallons.  Lol.
